Dr. Ranjitha Krishna
Dr. Ranjitha Krishna is a Board Certified Periodontist and Implant surgeon. She received her DMD from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and did her graduate specialty training in Periodontics (MSD) from Indiana University. She also has a Masters in Public Health from Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University and has previously worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Dr. Krishna worked as an Associate Professor in the department of Periodontics at The College of Dental Medicine, Augusta University (formerly known as Medical College of Georgia) since 2008, where she has been involved in the training of many dental students and periodontal residents.
Dr. Krishna is passionate about Periodontics and genuinely cares about the overall well being of her patients. She was awarded the ‘Outstanding Educator’ award by the American Academy of Periodontology and the ‘Excellence in Teaching’ award by the American College of Dentists and was nominated by her peers and students. She has co-authored many scientific papers and textbook chapters related to periodontics and presented in national and international meetings.
Dr. Krishna and her family moved back to Atlanta in 2016 when her husband Raj started working at Emory University and she has been practicing Periodontics in the Greater Atlanta area. Dr. Krishna and her husband Raj along with their children Diya, Anshul, and Muffin & Rex, live in Cobb County and acquired Dr. Silver and Dr. Tomaselli's well-established practice in 2019.
In her free time, Dr. Krishna enjoys reading, contemplating on business growth and betterment, painting, spending time with her family and friends, exploring the various dining options in the Atlanta area, and traveling.
